Setting is the year 2028. The year 2012 was indeed the end of the world as we knew it. In the year 2012, mysterious craft crash-landed in Earth. With the analysis of the craft, scientists developed many technologies that would have took humans another centuries to develop. Because of this, the world itself underwent rapid change.
At the year 2009, Ken's sister, Amy survived the gang incident that caused the death of Ken and Saki. Despite the horrifying incident that caused the death of her beloved brother and cousin, she grew up to be very important scientist who helped to develop the New World after the mysterious craft's crash landing at 2012.
Although a famous scientist, Amy's family life didn't go well at the start. Her first husband disappeared without a trace, leaving Amy alone with her daughter Alice.
Amy recently remarried with Japanese scientist Akashi. Alice didn't really approve of the marriage but she let it be for her mother's sake. Without realizing herself, Alice became entranced in her mother and step-father's latest research; The fourth wall project.
The gang members who killed Ken and Saki in 2009 was arrested after the incident and was sentenced to lifetime in prison. However, because of the improvement of the economy after the Year 2012, government became lenient and reduced the sentence to 10 years. By 2028, all the members were free. The members all separated to catch up with the years that they missed in prison. However, one by one, gang members started disappearing, only to be found dead somewhere completely off from their last known location. Police, even with their new technologies could not find out how they died or who might be the culprit.
