Mato appears in this story as a freshmen in Fantasia Academy. She made it into top 4 in the entrance exam tournament. She informs Kanata Izumi that Maguro Hamachi is selling questionable materials in campus.

Worlds of Haruhi Suzumiya

Kelona is worried that Kanata's team hasn't reported back in a long time. She sends Rewrite with Mato and Eve as backup to Haruhi's world to find out what happened to Kanata's team. While sliding into Haruhi's world, they are intercepted by an unknown character. They are forced to slide into wrong part of Haruhi's world.

Powers

Her slider power is 'vision', it allows her to see further or in slow motion or both. She uses this power along with her object which is sniper rifle. Her innate abilities when in her battle mode are really powerful, but she's still working on mastering her slider powers.
