Alan Kurayami

The main character of the visual novel, Alan is a half Asian, half Caucasian teen from the "Real World", a parallel universe to the Fictional World. Because of latent abilities as a Slider, Alan soon finds himself in a world believed to be fictional in his world: the world of Haruhi Suzumiya.
Alice Toki

Alice is from another dimension located in the "Reality Side" which is actually another planet in Alan's world. Like Alan, she is on her own quest to return to their dimension, but suffers a one-sided rivalry with him. She has her own adventures and her own party members, and tries to steal the protagonist title from Alan by defeating him in battles whenever they encounter each other.
Saki

Saki is Alan’s fellow student in the real world. Saki always tries her best to fill her life with wondrous and extraordinary events. Her nature allows her to seek beauty in everyday ordinary things. She was very interested in parallel dimensions and theories behind them, even writing some popular novels involving parallel dimensions.
Her family seems to have moved to Canada from Japan, but if you go up her family tree, you can find individuals from various different races. She was killed in a incident where Ken and Alan was trying to save Ken’s little sister.
Serenity

Saki's twin sister. Attends same school as Alanand Saki. She is almost exact Saki's lookalike except that her hair color is dark blonde. Unlike Saki she could care less about finding peace and harmony. Despite her destructive nature, she is not reckless. She will never act without confirming that the action is safe.
Ken Astley

Alan's only friend from his high school delinquent days. Alan constantly denies knowing him or the fact that he once befriended him, due to the fact that he could not save Ken from death from a certain gang in his old city in Canada. Alan went berserk at the scene and tried avenging him, but was easily knocked out by the gangster. Because of Ken's death, he joins Serenity's gang (who happens to be one fighting that gangster's group) in hopes that he can get revenge for his fallen friend.
